This is the kind of place where smart people stay grounded, ideas move fast, and people actually like figuring things out together. Ambition matters, but so do trust, openness, and the freedom to show up as yourself from day one.
Come for the tech, stay for the team

No radar needed to spot a great place to work
Robin earned its ‘Great Place to Work Netherlands’ certification with 88% of employees saying they genuinely value working here. The strongest results point to a culture built on fairness, pride in the work, and leadership that stays approachable, honest, and easy to talk to.
-
88% back it up
Strong scores in engagement, recommendation, and work life balance back it up. More importantly, people describe Robin as a place to learn, grow, and contribute in a way that feels meaningful.
-
Fairness you can feel
Inclusion is not treated like a slogan. New Robins feel welcome from day one, and fairness shows up across race, gender, and sexual orientation. Diversity is something you notice in how teams collaborate every day.
-
Feedback that changes things
The survey is yearly, the pulse checks are bi weekly, and the follow up is real. More time off, a new office designed for focus and collaboration, and clearer internal communication are all changes shaped by employee input.
What matters here
We trust
Trust is the default. People talk with each other, not about each other, and have each other’s back.
You’ll notice it when:
-
People speak up, listen actively, and assume good intent
-
Feedback is honest, without collateral damage
-
People follow through on commitments, and own mistakes
-
Leaders delegate real ownership and make it safe to speak up and challenge decisions
We own it
People step up and follow through, together. Problems do not get passed around, they get solved.
You’ll see it when:
- Work gets taken from start to finish, not handed off halfway
- Risks get flagged early, and help gets asked for before things escalate
- Decisions get made, outcomes get owned, and teams stay aligned
- Leaders address performance directly and resolve cross team friction
We aim high
Curiosity is part of the job. The bar stays high, and improvement is continuous.
It shows up when:
- People learn by doing, keep experimenting, and treat mistakes as lessons
- The status quo gets challenged with one simple question: can this be done better
- Quality wins over quick fixes, and work gets checked twice
- Leaders make space for experimentation and connect work to strategy
How we work
High standards, low ego. Work moves fast, but clarity matters more than noise: who owns what, what ‘done’ looks like, and what needs alignment.
-
Ownership beats escalation
Problems get solved where they happen. People take work from start to finish, ask for help early, and address things directly instead of pushing them up the chain.
-
Collaboration that actually works
Disagreements are normal. Silence is not. Expect honest conversations, feedback that helps, and teams that pull each other in early, not at the last minute.
-
Less noise, more focus
The goal is simple: make it easy to do great work. Clear documentation in one place, shared context, and practical ways of working keep focus, even as the company grows.
Growth and development
Given the technical complexity of our products, mastering your role comes first. We are growing fast, but we do not follow a rigid promotion timeline. Opportunities often appear as the company evolves, and we value depth of expertise over speed.
If you are looking for a guaranteed title change in a short window, we might not be the right fit. If you want to grow into your role while making real impact, you will feel at home here. Pay is structured using the Korn Ferry methodology, with salary bands benchmarked against market data every year to keep compensation fair and competitive.
Where ownership takes you
From Engineer to lead
“I was hired to work at Robin as a senior mechanical engineer in March 2025. Shortly after that, the Engineering department was reorganised into teams in May 2025, and I was then selected as the Team Lead for Active Products. In that role, I was fortunate to collaborate with incredible people across the company, from I&D (Innovation & Development) to Operations, and have empowered the team grow to where it stands today.”
“As Robin continues to expand, I&D equally rises to new challenges. In June 2026, the new SVVT (System Validation Verification and Testing) department was created, and I am now stepping up to lead it and help Robin deliver on its promise of excellence. I am grateful that Robin has repeatedly entrusted me to rise to new challenges, grow my career and prove my mettle.”
Thomas Gowings, Team Lead Active Product Engineering

Core hours run from 10:00 to 15:00 to create overlap for teamwork. Around that, you shape your day in a way that works, within reason and depending on your role.
-
Every two weeks, Officevibe pulse check ins make workload and team signals visible. If something is actionable, it gets picked up and followed through, not parked.
-
We treat overwork as a structural issue, not a personal one. If pressure builds, we fix the cause together, with clear support routes, including confidential help when you need it.
